On Thursday 11 November, the whole school community gathered in the Cathedral to mark Remembrance Day and commemorate those who have given their lives in the defence of our country.

On Tuesday 9 November, we welcomed esteemed climate scientists Professor Rachel Warren and Dr Jeff Price to school to speak to pupils about climate change and the environment. This visit kicks off a week of action by Norwich School Green Group, who are seeking to raise awareness of issues surrounding climate change while COP26 is underway in Glasgow. 

As the COP26 climate summit shines a spotlight on the climate change emergency, here in Norwich an exhibition has opened, highlighting the importance of trees for our future and featuring artwork from some Norwich School pupils.

Several Norwich School pupils have been selected for the 2021/22 intake of the Emerging Players Programme and Centre of Excellence Programme by Norfolk Cricket Board.

Visiting author, performer and poet A.F. Harrold treated Upper 4 to a day of madcap poems and creativity to finish off what has been a very busy half term.  

Norwich School is pleased to be partnering with Return2Play and Recover Physio, to provide the highest level of care to our pupils, both on and off the sports field.

On Saturday 16 October, Norwich School held our first Junior Indoor Inter-House Athletics Competition. Fourth Formers from across the Houses competed across a range of events.

Norwich School Orienteering Club took a full minibus of pupils to the Norfolk Orienteering Championships on Sunday 17 October.

Repton House has been busy planting, harvesting, and decorating pumpkins ready for Halloween. 

Thursday 7 October was National Poetry Day and pupils celebrated by taking part in a range of exciting poetry workshops throughout the day, including Norwich School's second ever Poetry Slam.

Last week, Fourth Form enjoyed a week of activities at Hautbois House Activity Centre. This is the first residential trip of the year for the year group and was an excellent chance to strengthen existing friendships and build new ones.

Norfolk Summer School has been celebrating a bumper year for its Summer 2021 attendance.

Norwich School is delighted to have been recognised by the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for our support to NHS staff by being awarded their Charity Champion School’s Award.

On 23^rd September 2021, Norwich School were delighted to welcome the Norfolk Cambridge Society for the 11^th in their excellent series of public lectures delivered by leading academics.

An exciting new exhibition called Botanical Opticals is opening in the Norwich School Crypt Gallery this week, which will use state-of-the-art technology to bring a thrilling, immersive experience to Norwich. 

U5 pupils recently enjoyed a week of pottery workshops with Leach Pottery in Cornwall.

This year’s House Music Festival took place on Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 September. Throughout the two-day festival, musicians performed a variety of pieces, eager to collect points for their respective houses.
