House Music Festival 2021

22 September 2021

This year’s House Music Festival took place on Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 September. Throughout the two-day festival, musicians performed a variety of pieces, eager to collect points for their respective houses.

The Principal Adjudicator this year was pianist, organist and conductor, Richard Gowers. His extensive schedule features performances not only around the UK, but across Europe and further afield in the USA, Far East and Australia.

There was a fantastic standard of performance across both days of the festival, with pupils across all year groups taking part.

The school Chapel saw the majority of the solo classes, all of which received fantastic praise from the adjudicator. St Andrew’s Hall welcomed us on Monday evening for the Choral and Instrumental Ensembles. Congratulations to Repton House who won ‘Part Song’ with their performance of ‘Mr Blue Sky’.

The ‘House Shout’ at St Andrew's Hall brought an uplifting end to the school's annual House Music Festival on Tuesday afternoon. Musical choices ranged from ‘Break My Stride’ to ‘Dance With Me Tonight’. A huge congratulations to all pupils and staff involved!
