L5 enjoy Team-Building Day at Bramley Lakes

14 September 2021

On Friday 10th September, L5 pupils attended a team-building day at Bramley Lakes Activity Centre, Horsford. The aim of the trip was to allow pupils to get to know their new Tutors and to encourage the new intake of 2021 pupils to forge new friendships. Activities included archery, axe-throwing, team challenges, trebuchet building and high/low ropes in the form of 'all-aboard' and 'crate stacking' respectively. As pupils participated in their Houses, it represented the perfect opportunity for inter-house competition, with the fastest times on the wall climbs and team challenges fiercely contested.

Bragging rights for this year are awarded to L5 Parker and their Tutor Mr Shailes and Head of House Mr Cann, who were crowned winners of the day. Honourable mentions go to Nelson House for their teamwork and mastery of the climbing walls – completing an advanced challenge deemed “practically impossible” by Bramley Lakes instructors, and Repton House for some heart-warming encouragement and teamwork on the high ropes.

Bramley Lakes continues to remain a highlight of the L5 year and we look forward to sharing the experience and fun with our current U4 cohort next September.
