Upper Six Medics train for the MMI Interviews

05 December 2022

Last week, Norwich School’s aspiring U6 medics were fortunate enough to have the School’s OMR transformed into a 6 station MMI interview circuit where groups of 6 pupils were put through their paces in 5-minute scenarios examining motivation, communication skills, the ability to triage and their ability to understand the workings and problems of the NHS.

Most UK medical schools have moved away from the traditional panel interview to this fast-moving style of interview where each station counts.

Norwich School is really grateful to Jamie Mather (ON) for his help in setting this up with Mr Croston and Hooper. Most importantly of all, the candidates themselves felt it was a valuable part of their preparation for the all-important medical school interviews which will be starting in December and running into the New Year.
