Friends of Norwich School

The Friends of Norwich School

The Friends community incorporates past pupils and their parents, current parents and anyone in the wider community who has an interest in Norwich School. This diversity is represented in the committee membership.

Friends Events

Social activities at school are organised by a separate Events team made up of current parents and supported by the Friends Committee. Sinead Merron is now heading up the Events team. The Friends events committee meets once a month in the evening and is open to everyone. Please email if you would like to attend or have ideas for an event.

The Friends of Norwich School are busy arranging a host of events of interest for the entire school community, including our ON's. There is a summary of events in the diary already which we would love you to join us for and we are always looking for ideas from the school community for events you are interested in us sourcing, or you would like us to arrange.

Tickets for events can be booked using Ticket Source and will become available here as events approach. If you are a parent or ON and are interested in putting on an event, or would like us to consider any events in the future, please just get in touch via We value the support of the entire school community from Lower School to ON parents.

2nd hand uniform shop

Volunteer Friends run a second-hand uniform shop for the Friends of Norwich School.

The income generated by the sale of second-hand uniform supports a variety of projects for pupils within the school and is a very useful service for parents and pupils alike.

The Friend’s Clothing Shop is located next to the Music School in The Close. The shop is adjacent to the music practice chalets, to the right of 71a Reception, behind the stone wall. Signage will be apparent during opening times. The dates are published in the School Term Diary and are listed below.

Unless otherwise stated the shop is open from 4pm-4.45pm. We accept either cash or cheque for payment. We have a small changing room so pupils are welcome to come along and try items with or without parents/guardians.

Friends funds – money spent well

After another successful fundraising year, the Friends have been able to meet many requests made by the staff for funds, as well as supporting ongoing bursaries. The Friends aim to fund activities that enrich pupils’ experience of school life with a breadth and diverse range of opportunities available to Norwich School pupils. Everything is considered from Robotics to new play equipment to film club to dancing, to new DofE tents. The Friends are also working closely with the ONs on a number of projects and will be working closely with Norwich Castle on an exciting writing project.
