Where the Tree Meets the Cross brings the work of two artists, Androulla Michael and Iuliana Gavril together in their shared reverence for those most unnoticed - unseen - instances of everyday life. Yet, their capturing in drawing and photography exposes profound, enduring symbols: the cross and the tree.

During the academic year, our Talent Academy hockey players have worked hard to get selected for this year's Talent Academy Cup 2024.

The ever-popular OUP Very Short Introductions collection is expanding. These short books are always extremely useful, in particular for 6th form students. They provide concise and accessible overviews of a wide range of subjects to support academic studies, to help with Independent Project research, and to broaden pupils' overall general knowledge.

This academic year, the Norwich School conversation café working with English+ and ON Abbey St John has gone from strength to strength on a Wednesday evening helping recent arrivals to Norwich become more confident in English and gain a better understanding of English life and culture.

Hosted by Norwich School and funded with the support of private benefactors including ONs, the Norfolk Summer School aims to support the brightest pupils from a range of local schools who are considering a range of top UK universities and medical schools.

The Trinity Term is always a busy term for the Boat Club, with our Regatta Season, although the preparation for this started on training camp in Brive, France, with 57 rowers training hard and making improvements in their boat speed.  

As the academic year draws to a close, we can look back on the last 3 weeks of the Gather festival with great pride in all that has been achieved. 

June proved to be a very busy month for all our cricketers as many teams played catch up with their respective Cup rounds after weather delay’s early in the term.

Mr Iain M Grisewood reports on the Tennis played this academic year and looks forward to the year ahead.

On the penultimate day of term all Senior School pupils enjoyed a full day on the Lower Close for Sports Day 2024.  It proved to be an excellent day with both high level performance and mass participation on show.

Lighthearted event a fun way for M5 pupils to revise what they have learnt this year.

On the final Tuesday of term we held the 3^rd annual Sports Awards Dinner. This event celebrates the achievements of our senior sports teams.

On Friday 28 June, a group of 14 L5 and M5 pupils who are learning German went on a trip to the German Careers Roadshow at Cambridge University.

13 Middle 5 pupils recently participated in the Junior Physics Challenge of the British Physics Olympiad alongside 14,000 other Year 10 pupils from 280 schools across the UK.

13 U4 pupils recently took part in the online British Physics Olympiad Year 7/8 Physics Challenge - the first year that this new competition has taken place.

Lower 5 Pupil, Louis Hawes represented the South East region in the National Schools Golf Championships on 24 June 2024 at Stanmore Golf Club, North London. Louis was one of two boys from Norfolk schools.

On Monday 24 June, we had 8 skiers competing in the ESSKIA Indoor Championships in Hemel Hempstead.

The U13 Boys tennis team played their county final against Gresham's on the afternoon of Thursday 20 June.

From 17 to the 24 of June, pupils across the Senior School engaged in our Summer Safety week.

Recently, my Lower 4 class were lucky enough to visit the charity English+ refugee group as part of our activities for Refugee Week.
