Several Pupils Selected for Norfolk Cricket Board Development Programmes

Several Norwich School pupils have been selected for the 2021/22 intake of the Emerging Players Programme and Centre of Excellence Programme by Norfolk Cricket Board.

 

Emerging Players Programme

The Emerging Players Programme focuses on skill enhancement but also the technical, tactical, physical and mental aspects of cricket, protocols which must be utilised to reach elite levels in sport. The programme has had considerable success since its inception, with 16 players progressing to First Class Academies as a direct result of involvement with this programme. Three players have also been involved in ECB National Performance Squads.

The Norwich School pupils who have been selected for this programme are:

  • Lewis Reeder (M5)
  • Enoch Uthayarajan (on an interim/individual basis) (U5)

 

Centre of Excellence

The 'Centre of Excellence' is for County Cricketers in age groups between U13 and U15. Selection into the 'Centre of Excellence' is based on the potential of players to progress to the Emerging Players programme and beyond into First Class Cricket and Sunrisers Programmes.

The Norwich School pupils who have been selected for this programme are:

  • Samuel Reynolds (M5)
  • India Fox (L5)
  • Georgia Demetriou (U4)
  • Boo Harrod (L5)
