John Behm’s exhibition ‘Every Day brings its wonders’ is coming to Norwich School’s Crypt Gallery as part of the Paint Out Norwich competition next week. The exhibition will feature John’s natural affinity for the landscape of Norfolk and the Scottish borders alongside portraits of friends and family and sketches en plein air. Showing from 24th October until 30th October the exhibition will be available to see between11am-8pm with free admission.

Artist John Behm has been painting his way through recovery. A near-fatal car crash in 2004 left him with brain damage, unable to resume his painting career for 10 years. After some further stubborn years of re-learning, he’s now painting again, every day.

John Behm delights in expressing light and colour and how they reveal our world in his paintings. As he says, “to do the work is the thing; to make a record of being alive, and seeing, down to the fleeting curve of the moment. Every day brings its wonders.”

"Norwich School is really pleased to be hosting John’s work as part of the Hostry Festival this year. It is wonderful to bring a show which is about landscape into the Cathedral Close." - Andy Campbell Head of Crypt Gallery
