"Which country invented Volleyball?" Pupils and care home residents take part in another Intergenerational Quiz

26 April 2023

As part of Global Intergenerational Week 2023, pupils in U4 took part in a very special Intergenerational Quiz, hosted by our charity partner Friend in Deed. Pupils joined residents from Chevington Lodge and Englehard Lodge care homes, both of whom joined virtually for the quiz, taking turns to ask questions. In true quiz-style, there were some tricky questions alongside some easier ones, but all three teams enjoyed putting their minds to work!

Residents also shared some experiences of their school days and compared them to the modern school. One resident said: “ that was so interesting. It’s lovely to see school children and inside their classroom”.

Global Intergenerational Week seeks to raise awareness for how we can value our older generations more and ensure they are better integrated and cared for in our communities. Friend in Deed is a long-standing partner of the school and the charity organises a whole host of activities and events across the region to promote intergenerational work and decrease loneliness in the older generations.

We are looking forward to our Intergenerational Sports Day with Friend in Deed, to be held at Norwich School’s Blake Studio on 8th June!
