A group of 41 Lower Five pupils returned yesterday from a busy weekend in a hot and sunny Paris.
Highlights included a tour of the stunning Opéra Garnier, a stroll along the Champs Élysées from the Arc de Triomphe, and an afternoon exploring the 'village' of Montmartre.
Evenings were packed too, with a brilliant boat ride along the Seine on the famous Bateaux Mouches, and a trip to the top of the Montparnasse Tower, where we watched an amazing thunderstorm over the city. We even managed to fit in a spot of sunbathing by the Eiffel Tower, a trip to the local hypermarché, and a stop-off in the beautiful town of Arras en route!
Our pupils did a great job using their French in cafés and shops, and thoroughly enjoyed their experience of Parisian culture.
Thanks to Mrs Watkinson, Dr Boutemy, Mrs Dean, Rev. Child and Mrs Williams-Goff for accompanying the trip.
