Wednesday 7 February saw the return of Norwich School’s Unplugged event at a busy Norwich Playhouse.

The cosy surroundings of the Playhouse hosted a relaxed and intimate evening of heartfelt performances, with pupils presenting pieces by a varied range of artists such as David Bowie, Adele, The Beatles, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Foo Fighters and many more.

The evening began with a beautiful vocal performance by Moya Adams (U5) of Killing Me Softly with His Song. Dylan Parsons (U6) left barely a dry eye in the house with his rendition of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. Issy Girling (U6) then wowed the audience with Adele's Turning Tables before Merlin Perrow (U4) shook the rafters prior to the interval with his version of Foo Fighter's Everlong.

In total, 25 individual pieces captivated the gathered audience during the evening. Unplugeed really is a hugely enjoyable part of Norwich School's yearly calendar of musical events and a showcase for some amazing talent. Don't miss the opportunity to catch it next time around in 2025!
