Christmas Jumper Day with a difference!

08 December 2023

On the last day of term, Friday 15 December, we are holding a Christmas Jumper Day with a difference!

Instead of a financial donation, we are asking everyone who wears a Christmas jumper to ‘pay in kind’ with a donation of one or more items to local charity, Future Projects.

Currently, thousands of households in Norfolk are struggling to afford food and daily essentials, so Future Projects will send out emergency Christmas Hampers to local families in need, to give them a break from their struggles and to be able to enjoy Christmas.

Simply donate one or more of the following items:

Long-life Milk
Pasta
Rice
Tinned Vegetables
Tinned Fruit
Tea and Coffee
Sugar
Washing-up Liquid
Toiletries
Presents for children (new/as-new)
Wrapping Paper
Christmas Crackers
Selection Boxes
Biscuits
Cheese Crackers
Squash
Stuffing
Mince Pies

Last year, they sent out Christmas Hampers to 282 households, helping over 700 families. This year their support teams have been inundated with requests for help from people who simply don't have enough to pay for essential living costs, so they would like to send out over 400 hampers. We can help them!

This will not be a full non-uniform day, pupils are expected to wear normal school uniform, but are encouraged to wear a Christmas jumper with this.

A minibus will be parked on the school playground on Friday morning from 8.15, where you'll be able to drop off your donation with a member of the Charities Committee.

Thank you in advance for your support.
