Last term the Lower School and Senior School came together to host a spectacular evening of dance and drama.

The wacky and wonderful Alice In Wonderland started off the evening performed by fourth form pupils who took us into the magical world of wonderland, with their high energy performance and strong characters.

After Alice In Wonderland the dancing kicked off with a high energy number from visiting dance company Legacy, with their musical medley entitled Catch Me If You Can.

The Lower School then took to the stage featuring pupils from Lower 2 to Upper 3. After many rehearsals in the performing arts club, they performed a beautiful dance to Speechless from the new Aladdin film. Up next were two energetic dances featuring songs from The Greatest Showman and ABBA, which were choreographed and performed by pupils in the Fifth Form and got the audience clapping and moving from the get-go.

Audiences were also treated to two stunning solo acts from Zara Mace, who displayed a fusion of acro and contemporary technique and Moyo Adams, who explored how the simplest movements can be turned into a phrase.

Later, we saw group performances by the juniors; Giants: a piece exploring the use of free bound, and continuous movements, Spirit: which explored both the contemporary and lyrical dance which will be entering the national great big dance off next year and Swing Time! a 1920s inspired palooza.

Message In A Bottle, was a performance developed over the course of a day working with renowned hip-hop company Zoonation and the inters joined forces with a cheeky troupe of Lower School dancers in the famous musical number, You’ve Got To Pick A Pocket Or Two. 

The evening ended with a powerful performance from the first ever cohort of GCSE dancers with their empowering dance Bullet and a finale which included all the Senior and Lower School dancers.
