On 25 June, 40 dancers from the Junior and Senior Dance companies set off for Cheltenham in the sweltering heat of the hottest day of the year so far, for the Great Big Dance Off Competition.

Both dance groups had qualified by winning their heat in the regional finals and they joined over 20 other schools from across the country to compete in the finals which took place in Cheltenham Town Hall on Monday 26 June.  

The Junior Dancers pulled off a flawless performance of their School of Rock medley, whilst the Seniors were as menacing as ever with their Stanger Things inspired piece, which sees Eleven channel her powers to take on Vecna and his evil forces in the Upside Down.

After a very long, hot day, the Seniors were placed third in the country. A satisfyingly large trophy accompanied them on their very late journey home, getting in to Tombland at 1.30am, ready for a busy afternoon of rehearsals for the Norfolk Show.
