Norwich School are proud to present 'A Trace of Hares' exhibition, as part of GATHER18. The exhibition opened on Thursday 28th June, in the school's Crypt gallery.

Norwich School had a fantastic day at the Royal Norfolk Show on Wednesday 27th June. 

The Norwich School stand had a variety of activities such as a biology DNA extraction, a showing of 'Fantastic Mr Fox', a cheerleading workshop, a mug press workshop with the art and design department as well as rowing races. Quartz band and G Force Choir also performed throughout the day to audiences in the Norwich School marquee.

To celebrate Refugee week (18th-24th June) the Amnesty Society hosted two events at the school.

In Cathedral Assembly, on Thursday 21st, the Norwich School Amnesty International Group handed-over Welcome Kits to English + to give to refugees who have been granted asylum in the UK. The contents for 8 full packs were collected by Tutor groups across the Senior School.

Norwich School pupil James Hill was presented with the County Commissioner for Scouting's Commendation for service, dedication and commitment to Scouting on Friday 16th June. 

Only one award such award is presented within the County each year. 

Norwich School pupil Harry Peachment, as well as James Hill, also received the Explorer Scout Belt awards for their work and achievements during the year. 

Congratulations to both pupils for such great achievements.

Norwich School pupils, Ben Groat, Navaneeth Hari Krishnan (both Lower 5), Alex Walker and Ralph Pye (both Lower 4), represented the school at the National Final of the UKMT Junior Maths Team Challenge on Monday 18th June in London. 
 
The Norwich School team had already won the regional round in order to proceed to the National final in London, and so a tough competition was ahead of them.

GATHER18, Norwich School's end of year creative arts festival, got off to a flying start yesterday evening with the first two events attracting large audiences.

First, the Lower 4 performed Homer's The Iliad and The Odyssey in the Cathedral Close. Secondly, the Norwich School Art and Design Exhibition opened with a private view at The Forum.

Two very able choirs from Norwich School and Boutcher School in London came together on Monday 18th June at the Norwich Lower School for a joint concert, climaxing with joint renditions of Toto’s Africa and a song by Take That.

On the 14th June Norwich School hosted 36 German pupils and 4 teachers from the Obermayr International School. The school is based in Schwalbach, Germany.

Norwich School were invited to the official launch of the GoGoHares 2018 reveal on the 14th June. Artists, celebrities and members of the Norwich community were all in attendance.

12 Hares were revealed at the launch, with Fifty Hares in total to be positioned around Norwich city centre from the 24th June. Our very own Norwich School Hare will be revealed on the 24th.

Norwich School Athletes have had a successful few days at the East Prep Schools Championships and the Norfolk Schools Championships.

Norwich School pupils were warmly welcomed to the Clare School on Thursday 7th June. 

Pupils Adam Possener, Sophie Todd and Elizabeth King gave musical performances on the Viola, Voice and Oboe, to a group of pupils from the Clare School. Mrs Speca and Mrs Hill accompanied Norwich School pupils to the school.

Norwich School pupil Bethan Callow has gained a place with Aldeburgh Young Musicians for the 2018/19 academic year. Aldeburgh Young Musicians (AYM) is a junior conservatoire that holds weekend and holiday residential's that involve creative music workshops for young people aged 8-18. AYM was created to provide advanced musical training to young people.

Norwich School pupils excelled at the Norwich City Sports 2018.

The Norwich School Boys U17s cricket team reached the last eight in the Country after beating Brentwood School on the 25th May. The Boys U17s won the encounter by 13 runs, with pupil Harry Williams being the outstanding player throughout the match. The team have a great chance in the next round on Wednesday 13th June, where they are travelling to Whitgift to play for a place in one of the top four schools Nationally.

The 1st XI Norwich School cricket team beat Trent College in a brilliant game of cricket on Friday 8th June and are now up against Bedford in the next round of the National T20.

On Thursday 8th June, the Norwich School U15A Girls cricket team participated in the Norfolk County Rise & Shine tournament, hosted at Redmayne playing fields. 

The tournament consisted of 11 teams from around Norfolk; a significant increase in participating school since the tournaments launch 3 years ago, reinforcing the emergence of girls cricket as a prominent summer sport.

Twelve Norwich School Fine Art pupils, in the 5th form, had the chance to visit Cornwall over the May half term holiday, accompanied by Miss Williams and Miss Slade.
