As part of the ongoing range of creative experiences being given to our A&D scholars, we decided to take them to see Rachel Wagstaff's new adaptation of Agatha Christie's The Mirror Cracked at Norwich Theatre Royal on Tuesday 8^th November. 

This morning the whole school community came together in the cathedral to mark a very special Remembrance Day. 

On Saturday 12^th November 2022 in Blake Studios, Norfolk Contemporary Arts Society (NCAS) is back on site with us for their upcoming talk, An evening with Laurence Edwards and his new sculpture ‘Yoxman’

Five do Art are welcomed into the Crypt with their exhibition this week, running between 9^th to the 19^th of November from 10am-5pm. Closed Sun and open until 8.30pm on Thursday 17th.

Artist Anya Ichenska exhibition 'Myth & Magic of Ukraine' is coming to Norwich School's Crypt Gallery this November. 

A group of 10 Lower Sixth pupils received training from The Norfolk Reading Project this week in how to read phonetically, break down words into phonic sounds and techniques in order to become effective 1-1 reading support teachers.

It has been a busy and exciting week for our Lower 4 pupils on their residential trip to Hautbois House.

Last Friday the school's Charities Committee organised a Home Clothes Day. Pupils were invited to come into school in their home clothes and were encouraged to make a donation for the charity. 

John Behm’s exhibition ‘Every Day brings its wonders’ is coming to Norwich School’s Crypt Gallery as part of the Paint Out Norwich competition next week.

The wait is over and tickets for the hotly anticipated Senior School musical are now on sale! 

The start of the new Academic Year has been a busy one for the Boy Cathedral Choristers, especially with the sad passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II.  This meant that they had to hastily learn new music for the rearranged services. The Choristers sang for the County’s Memorial Service on Thursday 15^th September when around 2,000 packed the Cathedral, with many watching via the Cathedral’s You Tube live stream. 

Here at Norwich School, there is so much happening to mark Black History Month. Events kicked off with a talk from the Round Table society regarding Black History within the UK and we caught up with our Equity, Diversion and inclusion officer Amber Scott to interview her about what to expect this month.

Last night we were delighted to welcome families from across Norfolk to our Sixth Form Open Evening, during which we were hugely proud and excited to launch our new bursary scheme, with the aim of unlocking pupil potential and providing a transformational educational experience.

Last week saw the return of our annual Dragons’ Den challenge, with year 5 pupils from Mile Cross Primary School, linking up with Norwich School’s Lower Sixth Business Enterprise A Level pupils to develop a business idea, to pitch to our 'dragons'! 

Today is World Mental Health Awareness Day and here at Norwich School we have a host of activities taking place throughout the week to mark this important day.

Congratulations to Lower 6 Art scholar, Beatrix (Trixie) Ellerby, who entered a competition with First Buses Eastern Counties over the summer and has recently been awarded a prize. She tells us about it in her own words...

Twelve members of the orienteering club competed at the East Anglian Schools championships at Haughley Park in Suffolk on Sunday.

The 2022 season of Norwich School's Young Chamber kicked off in spectacular style on 28 September 2022 in the historic surrounds of the Bishop’s Palace’s Old Music Room.

On Friday 30 September, we were delighted to welcome the Norfolk Cambridge Society back to Norwich School for the 14^th public lecture in their series given by distinguished academics and hosted on site here.
