In a heart-warming display of talent and joy, our recent Informal Dance Celebration proved to be a resounding success, captivating the audience with the vibrant energy of over 40 participating children.

Lower One recently had some very special visitors who are everyday heroes. Let's journey through the exciting experiences of their visits from firefighters, dentists, police officers, veterinarians, and paramedics. Each visit brought a world of discovery about how these incredible people help us every day!

Yesterday the Lower School reading ambassadors transformed into book fairies to spread the joy of reading in Norwich City Centre. They undertook this initiative as part of the work that the book fairy charity promotes, where free books are left in public spaces for others to collect.

The Lower School has been supporting the Benjamin Foundation Christmas Appeal for several years and we always receive fabulous support from the Lower School community. However, this year the response was even more generous than normal.

The recent Informal Drama Sessions were a dynamic blend of performances, featuring an array of monologues and duologues. With an audience eager to witness their performances, the young talents displayed remarkable confidence on stage, delivering their acts with finesse.

On Friday 24 November our "Dance for Performance" group took part in an incredible workshop with the Northern Ballet Company. Pippa, a former prima ballerina came into Norwich School to talk to the group about her professional work and take a ballet workshop based on Beauty and the Beast.

On Tuesday evening the pupils of the Lower School enjoyed a thrilling evening of music making in the beautiful setting of Norwich Cathedral for their Michaelmas Concert. 

Last night, on Thursday 16 November, saw the very first Concordia Recital in the Lower School Hall.  These recitals aim to showcase pupils who are excelling in their instrumental studies and provide a platform to perform 2-3 pieces in a more formal concert setting to a specially invited audience.  Four pupils from the Lower School performed - Betsy Chuan, Jake Li and Moli Li all on Piano and Max Kotzee on the Violin.

Pupils and staff enjoyed showcasing their odd socks as part of celebrating World Kindness Day and Anti-Bullying Week.

Our latest Book Festival on Tuesday November 14 brought together 160 eager minds from U3 and visiting Year 6 pupils from across Norfolk. This literary adventure unfolded with the help of three remarkable authors. 

In Upper One's virtual workshop last week, the Jolly Postman came to life as Postie Rosie took us on an enchanting tour through fairy tales.

Great excitement and amazing performances for this year's competition.

Another enjoyable session of music making for the final Informal Concert before the half term break.

On Wednesday October 11, the Lower School partook in National Bring Your Bear to School Day. From a T-Rex to a bunny rabbit, the pupils enjoyed bringing in their varied cuddly toys from home and introducing them to their peers.

Last week, the Lower School welcomed author Annelise Gray to speak about her Circus Maximus series of books. Lower Three pupils were delighted to be joined by sixty pupils from Charles Darwin Primary School for this event.

To celebrate Harry Potter Book day on October 12, a Harry Potter Book Night was held in the Lower School Library and it was a spellbinding experience for third form pupils who are lovers of the wizarding series.

On Monday October 9, the Lower School visited the Chapel for their annual harvest service, bringing with them donations of food and household goods which were placed around the altar.

Last week, Norwich School hosted our first Stay and Play of the new school year and it was wonderful to see lots of new faces.

On Tuesday, Upper Two put their detective hats on and went in search of some clues to reveal the past. They entered the tent and were met the resident archaeologists.
