On Friday 24 November our "Dance for Performance" group took part in an incredible workshop with the Northern Ballet Company. Pippa, a former prima ballerina came into Norwich School to talk to the group about her professional work and take a ballet workshop based on Beauty and the Beast.  

The morning started off with a ballet class looking at correct technique and movement. They were then taught the story of Beauty and the Beast as told by the Northern Ballet Company. 

The morning continued by looking at characterisation. The group learned movements from the Beast, Goblins and Prince. They showed great focus and passion, impressing with their moves and character. 

Many of the group are going to watch Beauty and the Beast, performed by The Northern Ballet, during the week so they can put what they have learnt into context.
