Nicky Dunnett retired in 2022 after 23 years of loyal and dedicated service to Norwich Lower School. long time colleague, Gillian Wright, writes this fond tribute to her time with the school.

On Thursday evening, members of the Lower School Chamber Choir performed at the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Service of Reflection in Norwich Cathedral.

Pupils from the Lower School took part in the Carol service at Norwich Cathedral which was enjoyed by parents and guests.

Members of the UPPER 3 Chamber Choir paid a visit to Abbeyfield Care Home to bring some Christmas cheer to the residents, performing some festive favourites on the beautiful Abbeyfield stairs.

This term, in Topic, Lower 1 have been learning all about the people who help us. We have had lots of exciting visits and trips to meet people on our community who help us in a variety of ways.

With Beekeeping Club celebrating a year since it started, pupils have begun to write small blogs about what they get up to in beekeeping club as part of their Junior Beekeepers Award. Lower Three spent three rainy days trying new activities at Norfolk Lakes Activity Centre near Lyng.

On Thursday 17th November, Lower One went on an exciting trip to visit Sprowston Fire Station to support their learning on their topic - People Who Help Us.

Norwich School’s Upper Three pupils were joined by Year 6 pupils from four Norfolk schools to take part in a book festival in the Blake Studio on Tuesday.

Parents were treated to another fantastic informal concert, this time given by pupils from L1 and U1, some of them performing solo in front of an audience for the very first time.

On the first day back at school after half term, the children in Lower One had an exciting workshop with a Police Officer, PC Holford, and her police dogs Jet and Hercules as part of their Topic work on People Who Help Us.

The houses of Magdalen, Conisford and Heigham performed with great gusto in the Annual House Music Festival.  The theme this year was Musicals.
