The House Music Festival took place in the Lower School Hall on Friday with Heigham, Magdalen and Conisford battling it out to be House Music Champions for 2023. The children have been rehearsing for a couple of weeks and were extremely excited to be performing their songs. The theme of the House Music Festival this year was COLOURS.
Conisford chose Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Any Dream Will Do from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Heigham’s song was the classic rock anthem Mr Blue Sky by ELO and Magdalen channelled their inner Barbie with the song Pink from the new movie.
All 3 houses performed exceptionally well, and the Lower School Hall was covered in dazzling lighting effects and swirls of colour.
After the votes were cast and counted, the joint 2nd place houses were Conisford and Heigham, meaning a win for Magdalen!
Congratulations to Magdalen and well done to everyone who took part and worked so hard to put the event on.
