The Lower School once again delivered a Carol Service to remember to an audience of 500 people in Norwich Cathedral.

The Lower School held their Christmas Fair on Saturday 2nd December, with the profits being donated to the World Land Trust.

On Thursday 28th September, local author Mitch Johnson came to Norwich Lower School to speak to Form 2 and Form 3 about his debut novel ‘Kick’.

On Monday 25th September, Form 2 pupils travelled back to the year 1600, meeting locals from the Tudor Era at Kentwell Hall, Suffolk, who shared their concerns about plague and the Spanish with us.

On Friday 22nd September, the Lower School joined in with the annual Jeans for Genes Day, to raise money to support children and families affected by genetic disorders.

Form 3 took part in an amazing Willow Sculpting workshop last week. The wonderful sculptures will be placed in the Outdoor Classroom for all to enjoy.

Roald Dahl’s magic has woven its way through book pages and our imaginations for decades so, at Norwich Lower School library, we thought we should take the opportunity to celebrate him and his tales on Roald Dahl Day.        

This year, Dahl Day fell on Wednesday 13th September: this date is when Roald was born and would mark his 101 birthday!

On the first day of term, the Lower One pupils visited the Cathedral Cloisters.

During the summer holidays, ten Lower School pupils embarked on a trip described as ‘five days in another world’: a voyage around the Suffolk and Essex coasts aboard Thalatta – an historic Thames Sailing Barge.

On the first day back at school, the children were very excited to see their new adventure playground.

Form 2 held their own Dragon's Den style task. They were given the task to come up with a design for the Jarrold's Site based on what they had learnt about sustainability and settlements. There were many fabulous designs, models and presentations and 12 children were selected to go through to the 'Dragons' Den' grand final, featuring judges Mr Steward and Mr Pye.
