On Thursday evening in the Lower School Hall, the audience were treated to another fantastic showcase of solo instrumental and vocal performances for the Lower 3 Informal Concert.

Music ranging from the film scores of Hans Zimmer (complete with pirate hat!) John Williams and Yan Jinxuan, to classical repertoire from JS Bach, Mahler, Grieg and Bernstein with a little a little Jazz thrown in and a track from Britpop band Blur. Solo instruments included violins, cellos, trumpets, clarinets, and drums, plus a beautiful solo vocal performance of Elgar’s Ave Verum Corpus.  

Head of Music Mr Vine said ‘Well done to everyone involved and a big thank you to the audience for attending the concert - another full concert hall and another wonderful evening of brilliant music making.’

The next informal concert will feature pupils from Upper 2 and will take place on the 23 May
