Lower School news

We are delighted to announce that Norwich School has been shortlisted for the Tes Schools Awards 2022.

On the 17 March, Lower 3 travelled to North Norfolk to take participate in a day of team building activities at Aylmerton Field Study Centre. 

On Monday 21 March, Reception and Lower 1 set off on their adventure to Holkham Hall for the Farm to Fork experience.

Several pupils taking part in the Youth STEMM Award recently took part in a lesson with U3 pupils, taking up the challenge to answer STEMM questions posed by the Lower School pupils. 

U3 pupils, along with visiting pupils from five other Norfolk schools, enjoyed our first ever Cli-Fi event, celebrating environmentally-themed literature.

As part of the celebrations for World Book Day, all Infant classes were lucky enough to visit local independent bookshop Bookbugs and Dragon Tales last week.

The Lower School was awash with a motley cast of characters last week when it celebrated World Book Day.

The Cub Scouts did random acts of kindness to help spread positivity during COVID-19 which is a difficult period for everyone

On Wednesday 9^th February, Upper One received a visit from the Travelling History Museum to support their learning on the Polar Regions.

Last night Lower 3 took to the stage for their class’s ‘Taste Shakespeare’ performance, which offered a 30-minute version of one of his plays.

Pupils at the Lower School were visited by a colourful troop of Chinese dragons and lions, as well as a tiger, as part of Lunar New Year celebrations! 

Amongst the excitement of the busy end of term, with Christmas just around the corner, the Languages Club offered Lower School pupils the opportunity to make their own gingerbread houses to introduce them to a German Christmas tradition!

Over the festive period the 8th Norwich Sea Scouts; Gnaw Chocolate Ltd; Norfolk and Waveney | Mind and The Feed embarked on a community lead initiative of kindness and wellbeing over a three week period.
