Martin Kirby left his home in Norfolk for a small Mediterranean mountain farm in Spain, and now produces multi-award winning olive oil.

ONs who were at Norwich School during the Second World War will recall the air raid shelters under the school playground, which served as protection for pupils and staff against the bombing raids during the Blitz. Now there are hopes that the shelters may once again be opened up for access.

As part of the school's wider Remembrance Day commemorations to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, Norwich School has taken part in the nationwide campaign ‘There But Not There’ with silhouettes representing Norwich School Old Norvicensians who died in the war.

Over the 2018 summer holidays, a group of six explorers from the 8^th Norwich Scout troop, 16^th Norwich Scouts, and 1^st Norwich Scouts embarked on a 10-day cycle expedition through France, visiting cemeteries from the First World War and tracking down memorials for 16 Old Norvicensians who lost their lives in the war.

Paddy Bartram (ON 04-11) is the Director of Photography for ‘Their War’, a short film coming to the Norwich Film Festival on the 18^th November.

Katie Cox (ON 08-18) has been awarded an Elite Athletic Performance Scholarship from Liverpool University in recognition of her skills as a squash player.

This summer, Georgia Leggett (ON 13-18) ran an Ultimate Frisbee camp for 80 underprivileged young people in rural Brazil.

ON and current parent Andrew Hipper (78-87) is close to completing a charity bike ride of 400 miles, riding from the most westerly point in Wales to the most easterly point in England.

Jack Long-Martinez (ON 08-15) captained the Cambridge Men’s Tennis Team to victory in the annual Varsity Match against Oxford University.

Mathew Webb (ON 09-16) was recently selected to represent Great Britain at the European Triathlon Championships in Glasgow and the World Aquathlon Championships in Fyn, Denmark. He will also be competing at the upcoming World Championships in Australia.

Forensic geophysicist and senior Keele University lecturer Jamie Pringle (ON 86-92) recently appeared on the BBC documentary The Secret Life of Landfill: A Rubbish History.
