ON Mathew Webb Representing GB at Triathlon Championships

Mathew Webb (ON 09-16) was recently selected to represent Great Britain at the European Triathlon Championships in Glasgow and the World Aquathlon Championships in Fyn, Denmark. He will also be competing at the upcoming World Championships in Australia.

The European Triathlon Championships were held from the 9-11th August at Strathclyde Country Park in Glasgow. Mathew competed in the 20-24 Male AG Sprint (swim 750m, bike 20km, run 5km), coming 21st with a time of 01:10:49. In Denmark, Mathew also competed in the 20-24 AG Sprint (swim 1000m, run 5 km), and placed 5th with a time of 00:35:17.

 

The World Championships in Australia will take place from the 12-16th September. More than 5,000 of the world’s best elite and age group triathletes will be heading to Australia for the Championships, with over 46 nations represented. Mathew will compete in the 20-24 Male AG Sprint, comprising of a 750m swim, 20km cycle and a 5km run.
