SPOTLIGHT ON STAFF : AN INTERVIEW WITH RICHARD LOVE: A LONG SERVICE STAFF MEMBER
October 4, 2022
Continuing our series about our long service staff members, we hear from Mr Love, who has been a valued member of the Norwich Lower School staff for 20 years.
When Mr Love started at Norwich Lower School he was a Form 2 Class Tutor. He later became Second Master for the next seven years before taking on the role of Engineering and Design Lead, teaching part-time to give himself time to run a successful bed and breakfast in his free time.
Mr Love particularly enjoys observing pupils share their knowledge and skills to solve problems and loves to see the construction projects the pupils come up with. He says “there is always a buzz in the engineering classroom.”
Mr Love’s favourite thing about working at the Lower School is the constant variety along with the camaraderie of the staff enabling events such as the Peak District trip and School plays to run so effectively. His fondest memories over the years has been when the staff would put on an impromptu skit during a scene change for the school play!
Mr Love’s favourite spot in the Close is the beautiful Jubilee Garden with the wildlife pond, flower meadow and vegetable plots. A fantastic choice! We would like to congratulate Mr Love on his incredible 20 years at the Lower School.
