Pupils Support Priscilla Bacon Lodge Christmas Fair
November 30, 2025
On Saturday 30 November, two Lower 6 pupils helped out with the Priscilla Bacon Lodge Christmas Fair for their Community Service. The Christmas Fair was able to raise £4993!
The pupils commented below;
"The volunteering went very well, it was a good day and helped Priscilla Bacon raise over £4000 from the fair in total. I worked at the bookstall selling used books and jigsaws, interacting with visitors and handling money and change. It was good to work with Alison who ran the bookstall with me, and I met lots of volunteers who were all very friendly. Overall I enjoyed the experience and I’m looking forward to the next volunteering session this month."

"I recently volunteered at the Priscilla Bacon hospice charity Christmas fair, where I helped run the teddy tombola stall. My role included welcoming everyone that took part, and explaining to them the rules of the game. Overall the event was a great success. The charity raised around 4000 pounds, which will go towards supporting the vital care the hospice provides. I really enjoyed the experience, it was an excellent first time volunteering with Priscilla Bacon, and it felt great to be a part of such a positive community event. I look forward to volunteering more with Priscilla bacon in the future."
