Extensive Clubs

Learning at Norwich Lower School continues well beyond the timetable. With more than 100 clubs available across the school year, pupils have the freedom to pursue established interests, try something entirely new and spend time with others who share their enthusiasm.


The range is deliberately broad, spanning performance, technology, sport, creativity, outdoor learning and wellbeing. Some activities deepen curriculum learning; others introduce experiences that children might never otherwise encounter. All contribute to confidence, independence and a stronger sense of belonging. As pupils make choices and commit to activities over time, they learn to organise themselves, work with different groups and take pride in developing a skill simply because it matters to them.

An Exciting Aerial Silks and Tumbling Showcase

Over 30 pupils took to the stage for a breath-taking aerial silks and tumbling performance, inspired by iconic films and set against the stunning backdrop of the cathedral. Demonstrating incredible strength, flexibility and bravery, the performers captivated the audience with their skill, confidence and creativity. From graceful aerial routines high above the ground to dynamic tumbling sequences, every child embraced the challenge and performed with determination and enthusiasm.  The spectacular setting made the performance even more memorable, creating a truly magical experience for both the children and the audience. We are immensely proud of every performer for their commitment, courage and teamwork in delivering such an unforgettable showcase.

A Joyful Showcase of Talent at the Informal Dance Celebration!

Our recent informal dance celebration was a joyful and energetic showcase of talent, creativity, and fun. Lower School Pupils took to the floor with confidence, sharing routines in a variety of styles including hip hop, ballet, and cheerleading. From the sharp, rhythmic moves of hip hop to the grace and poise of ballet, each performance brought something unique. The cheerleading routines added an extra burst of excitement, full of enthusiasm and team spirit. What made the event so special was its relaxed and supportive atmosphere. It was all about enjoying dance, celebrating effort, and building confidence. Smiles, laughter, and applause filled the room as everyone joined together to appreciate the performances. A fantastic time was had by all. Proof that dance is not just about technique, but about expression, enjoyment, and having fun together. 

Little Roots Allotment Open Afternoon – Beautiful Pots of Colour Were Created!

On Friday 13 March, the Little Roots Allotment was delighted to welcome parents, grandparents and pupils to the open afternoon. This event gave families the opportunity to look round the evolving gardening space and experience the allotment in its new location. It was wonderful to see many families exploring the allotment and admiring the work that has been done by pupils so far. Pupils had the chance to get their hands dirty and plant their very own spring planters, which they took home— just in time to make the perfect Mother’s Day gift! Surrounded by cheerful flowers and newly emerging vegetables, the afternoon was filled with excitement, creativity, and an appreciation for the beauty of our unique school grounds.
