Lower School Admissions
For entry in 2026
To apply for a place at Norwich Lower School, please complete the appropriate online registration form below.
If you wish to discuss mid-year admission, please get in touch with the Admissions Team.
Whilst the main application deadline has passed (10 December each year), applications to the Lower School remain open on an ongoing basis, and later applicants are considered should places remain available in year groups.
When we receive an application, we will aim to acknowledge it within a few days. We will be in touch with further details about the process to the contact(s) named on the application form.
Pre-Reception and Reception entry
For entry into Pre-Reception and Reception, children are invited into school to experience playing in the classroom under the guidance of the Head of EYFS.
Lower One (Year 1) and Upper one (Year 2) entry
For entry into Lower One (Year 1) and Upper One (Year 2), all applicants will be invited to join a taster session with their future classmates and take part in a mix of individual and group activities.
Lower Two (Year 3) to Upper Three (Year 6) entry
For entry to Lower Two (Year 3) to Upper Three (Year 6), all registered applicants will sit online entrance assessments in basic reading comprehension, spelling and maths. Pupils will also meet the Head of Lower School where they will be asked about their favourite activities at school and their other interests.
The school will request a reference from the Head of the applicant’s current school from Lower One (Year 1) upwards.
