"Wrekin Crew" Mission for Warhammer Club
October 14, 2025
Tuesday 14 October saw Dr Treavett and Miss Lewis, immediately after the excitement of house music, escort 12 members of Warhammer club across the city to the Warhammer Shop. As part of Games Workshop's Warhammer Alliance programme, we had been invited to take part in the Warhammer 40k "Wrekin Crew" mission - characters, tanks and warriors from across the galaxy had responded to a disturbing signal from a remote planet.
Each club member brought a unit from home to respond to the challenge. These ranged from Alice Stevens' unit of Termagants to James Cumberland's Gladiator Lancer, and were led by two space marine primarchs, including the legendary Roboute Guilliman, primarch of the Ultramarines, controlled by Tom McCall. They arrived on the planet to find that a chaos demon prince was controlling a giant Wraithknight robot and a formidable Castigator tank. Led by powerful artillery fire from the lancer, the team were able to take down these initial foes - but chaos is never so easily beaten! Even as it's corporeal forms were destroyed, the demon was able to possess the Stormsurge controlled by David Adkins, and Henry Boyce's Defiler and set clubmate against clubmate for a thrilling final battle round. Never underestimate the power and resilience of the forces of chaos!
Our thanks go to James and his team at the Warhammer store for inviting and hosting us, and providing a great scenario for us to play in. Next up for Warhammer club will be the 4th NorHammer battle event in the Bishop's Parlour on Saturday 15 November.
