Victoria Hood

Mrs Victoria Hood has loved languages and travelling for as long as she can remember. This passion led her to study for a BA in German with Italian at Warwick University before undertaking a PGCE at Southampton University and teaching German and French in Hampshire for a number of years. She was then awarded a scholarship to study for a Masters Degree in Modern and Contemporary German Studies at Nottingham University, where her main area of interest was Turkish-German identity in German film. She started working as a German teacher at Norwich School in 2008 and took on the role of Head of German in 2009. During her time at the school, she has enjoyed teaching a range of languages including Italian, French, Spanish and Japanese, but her favourite thing to teach is still German grammar! In 2024 Mrs Hood took on the role of Head of Teacher Training allowing her to pass on her love of teaching to new and recently qualified teachers. Mrs Hood has also qualified to teach Children's yoga, Pregnancy yoga and Hypnobirthing and has enjoyed running the Community Service option for Children's yoga for the past few years.
