Tom White

Mr White joined Norwich School in 2013 as Head of Economics and gradually took on a wider role as Number 68 became a hub for social science and enterprise in the school.

Mr White doesn’t get tired of reading, thinking and talking about business, the economy and politics. He got a degree in Economics and Political Theory at the University of Manchester but never really stopped once he got the bug. He even went back to university on sabbatical after 30 years of teaching as a guest of UEA in their Economics and Business schools. At Norwich School Mr White has helped to guide the Amnesty group, the Chamber of Commerce (our entrepreneurs’ society), The Gartley Society (our pupil-lead Finance society) and the Model UN Society.

Mr White is prone to be distracted by conversations about Minecraft or Dungeons and Dragons. He is a Duke of Edinburgh assessor and has supported many expeditions. You can hear him on the trumpet with the other musicians playing from the organ loft during the Friday Service in cathedral.
