Sixth Form Charities Dinner Raises Over £2,000 for British Heart Foundation
April 24, 2026
At the start of the Trinity term, the Charities Committee had the pleasure of welcoming 110 guests from L6 to the Charities Dinner held in the Refectory, an evening of food, fun and fundraising for British Heart Foundation.
The Refectory was transformed by Committee members into a 1920's style club to fit the theme The Great Gatsby and pupils wore 1920's style dress to match. Muscial performances from Evie Gale and Bella Fletcher were a highlight of the evening, along with a time-honoured game of Heads and Tails. It was a perfect opportunity for L6 to celebrate their first few terms in the Sixth Form.
The evening was in aid of the British Heart Foundation, the charity chosen by the school for the Lent term. Committee members were delighted to welcome Karl Coppack from the charity for the event, who opened the evening with a talk about advancements in the understanding and treatment of heart attacks and heart conditions.
The Charities Dinner is an annual event which is organised by Committee members who arranged everything from the menu design to decorations and performances.
Ticket sales and a raffle (which included prizes from Jarrolds and Royal Norwich Golf Club) helped the event to raise £2011.23 for the British Heart Foundation.
A huge congratulations to the Charities Committee for organising such a fantastic event!
