The rugby programme displayed impressive performances across all age groups this season.
The U12Bs had strong wins and remarkable participation, with standout players including Thomas Jackon and Caleb Rowlandson. The U12As dominated, winning all 7 matches under the leadership of fly-half Sam Trickey. The U13Bs showed resilience, securing two thrilling victories, while the U13As recovered from a tough start, improving their defense and attack, led by Hugo Ball and Archie Woodward. The U14Bs achieved notable wins against The Leys and Greshams' School, and the U14As excelled with key moments like Jack Barley’s county cup-winning penalty. The U15s demonstrated significant progress and admirable commitment throughout.
The U16As shone with 7 wins, 2 draws, and a County Cup victory without conceding a point. Highlights included Sam Byrne’s hat-trick in the final and Jack Foreman’s game management. The 2nd XV improved steadily, clinching narrow wins in their final matches against Greshams' School and FInborough School, with standout contributions from Dev Kamath and Arthur Dannatt. The 1st XV impressed, winning key matches, including the James Mathews Memorial Cup, competing fiercely at the Merhciston Castle Festival and winning the County Cup. Standout performances from Ollie Shipp, Oscar Ratledge and Ed Tremelling shone out.
