Rebecca Wolsey
Mrs Wolsey was born and educated in Suffolk until she headed off to the Royal Holloway University of London, where she was the only student to study Planetary Geology, which involved modules in both Physics and Geology. Having achieved her BSc, she undertook three years of post graduate study towards a PHD in Astro Biology, before returning to Norfolk to study for a PGCE at the UEA. It was here she fell in love with teaching and specifically maths. Her first teaching post was at Pakefield High School, where she remained for five years and during which time she did a Masters in Education with the UEA and was also the Gifted and Talented Coordinator. She was also approached by researchers from the UEA, contributing to a published paper on Maths in the classroom.
After Pakefield, Mrs Wolsey moved to Benjamin Brittain School for two years where she was a Lead Practitioner, before joining the Maths Department at Norwich School in September 2022. In her free time Mrs Wolsey loves travel and has a gift for photography, so is a regular contributor to the school’s library of images. She also enjoys fantasy novels and has her own fantasy library in her classroom in Bihop’s Palace. Most importantly, however Mrs Wolsey is passionate about Maths and being a Mental Health Champion.
