Pupils involved in Glitz and Glam Fashion Show for New-U
November 20, 2025
Following the success of our very own annual charity fashion Show in June, Norwich School pupils had an amazing opportunity to be involved as models in a Fashion Show in Castle Quarter - all through a new partnership between New-U and Norwich School Community Service Programme where one of our L6 pupils and parent volunteers help out in the shop for an hour a week to help with stock, window dressing and serving customers. This is just one of our new placements this year (with others being additional placements in Big-C charity shops, Broadland care home, Charles Darwin, Mousehold and George White Primary Schools plus links with charities: Priscilla Bacon Hospice, Friend in Deed, Little Lifts, Street Child and many many more too).
Here are a few words about the event from the charity themselves:
"New-U's three day Glitz & Glam Clothing Sale launched on 20th November from Castle Quarter's Honesty Library with a stunning cat walk on the red carpet. Volunteer models consisted of customers, former work placements and students from Norwich School showcasing the quality pre-loved fashion available to buy at the event. New-U is a registered charity which has a pre-loved clothing boutique on Level 2 of Norwich's Castle Quarter and regularly hosts events to encourage people to shop sustainably. The charity also exists to support unemployed young people gain skills and confidence for work. The Glitz & Glam event (which took place for the third consecutive year) is designed to help people get occasion wear for the festive season second hand at affordable prices."
