Girl Chorister Badges

Norwich Cathedral Girls’ Choir is made up of about twenty girls from schools across the county, with around a third to a half of these being pupils from Norwich School at any one time. The Girls’ Choir rehearse on Saturday mornings and perform in services on Tuesday evenings. The girls are also involved in additional services at Christmas and Easter as well as singing at weddings.

The Cathedral Master of Music, Ashley Grote, said “the girl choristers make an outstanding contribution to the musical life of the Cathedral and the city.” Girls in the Choir are extremely busy as they juggle their school workload, many of whom are in their GCSE and A-Level years, with the demands of being a chorister. To recognise their hard work and dedication, the girls have been awarded a Chorister badge by the Head in an assembly on behalf of Norwich Cathedral.
