NATALIE HAYNES: WELL-KNOWN AUTHOR GIVES TALK AT NORWICH CATHEDRAL FOLLOWED BY BOOK SIGNING AT NORWICH SCHOOL

On Tuesday 20 September, well-known author, broadcaster and comedian Natalie Haynes addressed the full and bustling nave of Norwich Cathedral. She spoke to pupils about her favourite Greek and Latin myths and more broadly, her fruitful career. Natalie discussed the topics of feminism, creativity and the classical world, which was followed by a lively Q&A with the pupils.
As well as her fiction and non-fiction books, Natalie has featured on a number of radio and TV shows. In addition, her novel A Thousand Ships was shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2020. Natalie’s latest book, Stone Blind, tells the story of Medusa and was available to buy on the day.
This exciting partnerships event was attended by six local schools: Ormiston Victory Academy, Diss High School, Jane Austen College, Norwich High School, Norwich School, and Taverham who attended virtually. The talk was followed by refreshments and a book signing in the Norwich School Refectory and Natalie also held a Q&A with Norwich School Co-Curricular groups in the Chapel after school.
