Lucy Parkhouse
Mrs Lucy Parkhouse joined Norwich School in 2009 and has been Head of French since 2011 and Academic Programme Scholarship Co-Ordinator since 2021. Her passion for languages began at aged 11 with her first French lesson and this passion has never waned. Mrs Parkhouse studied for a BA in Modern Languages (French and German with Russian) with time spent in Vienna, Québec and St Petersburg. She then spent a year teaching English and learning some Mandarin in Suzhou, China. This experience abroad inspired a love of teaching and a PGCE soon followed, along with an MA in Advanced Educational Practice. Mrs Parkhouse has a passion for travel and her time at Norwich School has seen her on trips to France, Germany, Spain andChina. She also has a keen interest in linguistics and learning new languages- the latest being Spanish- with an enviable streak on Duolingo.
