Louise Elphick
Mrs Elphick studied Mathematics at the University of Birmingham and completed her PGCE at the University of Oxford. Her passion for the subject was sparked by a teacher who introduced her to the Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio, inspiring a lasting appreciation for the beauty and order of mathematics.
Before joining Norwich School in 2016 as Second in Charge of Mathematics, Mrs Elphick taught at several schools in Norwich. She currently runs the Maths Challenge Club for the Fourth Form, where she encourages pupils to develop their problem-solving skills and prepares them for the UKMT Junior Maths Challenge.
Outside the classroom, Mrs Elphick is an avid hillwalker and plays an active role in the school’s Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, regularly supervising and assessing pupils on their expeditions.
