Intergenerational Sports Day 2025
June 23, 2025
On Monday 23 June 2025 we held another spectacular Intergenerational Sports Day which involved Care Home Residents from multiple local Care Homes, Friend in Deed, our own Year 12 pupils from Norwich School, Year 7/8 pupils from Framingham Earl High and Year 3/4 pupils from a new connection for us, Firside Junior School - the event really was enjoyed by all ages! For this, I thank the many L6 pupils who helped to meet and greet and run the event – it couldn’t have happened without you: notably Tom Irvine, Megan Clements, Else de Lange, Ed Lewis, Nick Conway, Grace Cropley and Rudi Howard. Mrs Thomas even came back to take part with her new baby, Seb!
Organiser, Kelly from Friend in Deed, said;
"Another incredible intergenerational sports day took place on Monday 23 June 2025 and all ages had a brilliant time. We love watching our older friends get involved in movement, exercise and competition! The biggest thanks as always to our hosts and good friends Norwich School.
Younger friends from Framingham Earl High School and Firside Junior School also attended to take part, and we had 3 bouncy babies and mums that joined in too! Watching events like an egg and spoon race between friends with a 90 year age gap is always good for the soul. Until next year!"
