Hockey Highlights - Boys Report for the Second Half of the Michaelmas Term

The second half of this term has been a busy and productive period for Boys Hockey, showcasing excellent teamwork, determination, and growth.
In a tightly contested Tier 1 match against Solihull School, the boys demonstrated outstanding resilience and composure. The game ended in a well-fought 3-3 draw, reflecting the evenly matched skills of both teams. Norwich showed excellent defensive structure and worked tirelessly to maintain possession, while our attacking players created several scoring opportunities. This result kept 1st XIs unbeaten run going in Tier 1 and highlights the team’s commitment to their training and ability to compete at the highest level.
Following their Tier 1 match, the U18 squad had an impressive showing at the U18 Indoor Hockey Tournament, showcasing not only their individual skills but also their cohesive team play in a challenging format. Their performances were marked by quick transitions, sharp decision-making under pressure, and consistent effort across all matches. The boys were excellent in the tournament and came 2nd place, only losing two matches during the day, one being against the Perse, who went on to win the tournament. The team narrowly missed out on qualifying for Indoor Nationals as only winners went through. One of the highlights of the tournament was beating Ipswich School 5-0. In total the boys scored 26 goals in the tournament and had the best goal difference. The tournament was a valuable learning experience, reinforcing tactical discipline and building confidence for future competitions.
