Andrew Curtis

Mr Andrew Curtis has worked at Norwich School since 2006. He was appointed as a teacher of History and German, both of which he studied as an undergraduate at universities in Wales and Germany. He has fulfilled a number of pastoral and academic roles including Housemaster and Head of German; he is now an Assistant Head (5th form). He has taught History to every year group and currently teaches both GCSE and A level. His particular interest is in British Empire (1857-1967) from which he draws on his experience working in Gibraltar, Cyprus, Myanmar, Kuwait and Iraq. He also maintains an active engagement with all things German. He has written historical features for The Field and Norfolk Magazine and his first book, Some Trust in Chariots: The Remarkable Life and Legacy of JK Stanford, was released by Poppyland Publishing in 2025.
