Boys Cricket

Cricket is a main sport for boys in the Trinity Term and we will regularly field up to 15 sides who all play a challenging fixture card across the East and beyond.

Pupils can access an extensive winter training programme which runs in the Michaelmas and Lent terms and is based in our excellent indoor cricket gallery.

We are flexible in our approach to matches with the aim of instilling a love of cricket to all boys whether that be in the form of declaration games often played by our 1^st XI or limited overs matches more common with our junior teams.

 

Recent  successes:

• County Cup Winners U12 (2015), U14 (2015, 2016 & 2017)
• T20 Cup County Winners U15 (2015, 2016 & 2017)
• U17 National Cup Quarter-Finalists (2018).

 

Mr Callum Taylor , Head of Cricket
Mr Taylor joined the school in 2019 and became Head of Cricket in 2020. He is currently playing for Swardeston CC and previously played professionally for Essex CCC.
