If you wants to explore languages, why not try some of the excellent enrichment suggestions below:

GERMAN 

• Langsam gesprochene Nachrichten (Slowly spoken news) on deutsche Welle website  

• ZDF website is good. Often programmes include subtitles in German; would be good for the most able as extension in terms of pronunciation and culture. 

• Germany: Memories of a Nation podcast on BBC iPlayer. Interesting for cultural and historical background of Germany: 

• Watching films on DVD with German subtitles on or watching German films with English subtitles and picking out new vocabulary. 

• Amazon - short stories in German 

• Arte website (German and French) 

• German news for children on Apple podcasts 
   

• Look out for classic German films and series on Sky and Netflix like ‘Das Wunder von Bern’, ‘Das Boot’, and ‘The Reader’. 

FRENCH 

• For U5 French and above, watch ‘Lupin’ and ‘Call my Agent’ on Netflix. They are certificate 15.
