Richard Vickers
Mr Vickers joined Norwich School in 2024, having previously taught in British schools abroad in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and Madrid, Spain.
He studied Cultural Studies for his undergraduate degree before completing teacher training in 2015 and later gained an MA in Ancient History at the University of Wales, Trinity St David.
He is particularly interested in the exploration of historical memory and truth, encouraging pupils to consider how our understanding of the past is constructed, remembered, and debated.
He also values an interdisciplinary approach, drawing links across the curriculum to connect history with geography, politics, and society to show its continued relevance.
At Norwich School, Mr Vickers teaches across the age range and leads the Junior History Club, aiming to spark curiosity, critical thinking, and a lasting enthusiasm for studying the past.
