07 July 2020

"Thank you to the Duke of Edinburgh's Award participants from Norwich School who donated 2366 hours of voluntary service to the local community."

These hours are based on pupils who have achieved their volunteering section between 1st April 2019 and 31st March 2020. The social value of these hours is a total of £10,292.*

Ali Rigby, Operations Officer in Norfolk said,

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, your DofE team, and your participants for all of your hard work, dedication and commitment over the past year. Not only does volunteering provide vital support to local communities across the country, it also provides young people with the opportunity to take part in new experiences, develop new skills and feel a sense of pride in supporting the communities that they live in."

The Volunteer Hour Certificate indicates the specific number of hours of volunteering and social value for Norwich School during 2019/20. The number of hours is based on the participants who have achieved their volunteering section between 1st April 2019 and 31st March 2020.

*The social value is calculated based on the minimum wage for under 18’s of £4.35, multiplied by the total amount of volunteering hours conducted.
