Just three events left in Gather 17

04 July 2017

The school’s brand new end-of-year creative arts festival, Gather 17, comes to a close this week. After an amazing collection of art and design, drama, music and dance productions there are just three events left.

Gather 17 began with the Art and Design department’s exhibition at The Forum, and has since included three plays (Junior Play, George and the Dragon; Intermediate Play, Dying for It and the Cloister Play, The Tempest), an Instrumental Concert and the ever popular Norwich School Fashion Show.

We have just three events left of this celebration of the arts. Gala Night, the now unmissable end-of-year event, is tomorrow evening at the Lower Close. The event celebrates the best of Norwich School’s arts throughout the year in a festival style atmosphere with a BBQ and picnics. Performances will include dance, music, drama and comedy from across the school, demonstrating the breadth of talent of our pupils. Tickets are available here.

On Thursday we have the last music event of Gather 17, with an atmospheric Choral Vigil in the Cathedral choir stalls. This brings together parents, pupils and staff, and especially leavers, in what is a moving goodbye to the year at school. Free tickets are available here.

The final event of Gather 17 is the Lord Mayor’s Procession, as dancers, including the cheerleaders, join the rest of the city in a colourful procession. This is a non-ticketed event; feel free to find a space anywhere along the route and enjoy the evening.
