It has been an incredibly busy term for Norwich School Dance but all their hard work has paid off.
A group of Middle 5 to Upper 6 students took part in a workshop with Kevin Turner from Company Chameleon, learning new floor based contemporary skills, movement repertoire and lifts. Norwich School took three competition teams: Lower School, Junior Company and Senior Company to the regional heat of Great Big Dance Off. The Lower School team came in 2nd securing their place at the Primary National final for the first time. Junior Company came in a close third against a very high standard of teams and Senior Company secured the top spot for the third year in a row!
We took a group of Lower 4 to Lower 6 pupils to 'MOVE IT' a dance convention in London. Pupils took part in classes and watched performances from Dance Institutions from around the country.
Finally, over 80 students are set to take part in the Senior Dance Festival at Epic Studios. The show featured pieces from curriculum and co-curriculum groups, student choreography and company repertoire.
