Cricket Catch Up - Trinity Half Term

23 May 2024

The unfavourable weather this half-term has certainly been a challenge for all involved in managing school fixtures and our pupils have been very resilient in rolling with the late changes and match modifications.

The newly built Redmayne astro nets have proved to be a very important addition to our school program allowing sessions to continue despite poor weather and thus preparing the pupils well for the fixtures ahead.

The girls program has had several highlights with the U15 girls and U13 girls being involved into the next round of their Cup competitions and playing some exciting cricket.

The boys 1st XI have had a superb start with progress into the 4th Round of the National Cup T20 where they will face either Stowe or Repton and hope to maintain their unbeaten run this year. The U17 boys move into the last 20 of the National papers Cup and our U15 boys are into the 2nd round of the ESCA competition against Rugby.

It has been encouraging to see the number of pupils involved in the Norfolk Age group cricket program during the winter and now in season.

We are optimistic that next half -term will bring a change in the weather and that we can build on the early season’s momentum!
